1. About this policy
1.1 Farida Gupta Retail Private Limited ("FG", "we", "us" or "our") may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels and similar technologies on www.faridagupta.com and its related mobile website, where these technologies are used (the "Site"). This policy explains how they support shopping, personalise content and advertising, provide social media features and help us understand Site use.
1.2 This policy supplements our Privacy Policy, available on the Site. Where these technologies involve personal information, that policy also applies, including its provisions on sharing, security, retention and requests. Applicable law includes data-protection requirements to the extent they are in force and apply to the processing concerned.
2. Use of cookies
2.1 Cookies are small files stored on your browser or device. They may contain identifiers and information that help recognise your browser, remember preferences, maintain login sessions, facilitate purchases and understand which pages you visit. Session cookies generally last for a browsing session; persistent cookies remain until expiry or deletion, subject to browser settings and any renewal.
2.2 Cookies and similar technologies may collect identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, pages viewed, shopping activity and the date and time of an interaction. Information may identify you indirectly or be linked to your account or other information; it is not necessarily anonymous merely because your name is absent.
3. Types of cookies
3.1 Essential, security and Site management cookies support functions such as login authentication, shopping baskets, checkout, continuity between pages and protection against unauthorised access. Restricting them may affect the functions that depend on them.
3.2 Functionality and personalisation cookies recognise returning visitors and remember settings and preferences to provide a more personalised experience.
3.3 Performance and analytics cookies help us understand how visitors reach and use the Site, identify errors and improve pages and features.
3.4 Advertising and targeting cookies help display relevant advertisements, limit how often advertisements appear and measure advertising effectiveness. Social media, advertising and analytics partners may receive information about your Site use and combine it with information you have provided to them or they have collected through their services, subject to applicable law and the notices and permissions applicable to that processing.
3.5 Cookies may be first-party cookies set on the Site’s domain or third-party cookies set on another domain. A first-party cookie is not necessarily essential, and its information may be received by an external provider. The actual purpose and data use determine its category; the label “essential” does not itself create an exemption from applicable law.
4. Other tracking technologies
4.1 We may use web beacons, pixel tags and similar technologies on the Site or in emails to measure visits, views and interactions. They may transmit identifiers, the time of an interaction and information about the relevant page or email. Some work with cookies and others operate independently. Some advertising and conversion measurement also involves information sent directly between FG’s or its service providers’ servers and analytics or advertising partners. Browser cookie settings alone do not control these transfers.
4.2 Browser privacy controls and email settings that block remote images may limit some tracking, but do not necessarily stop all measurement, including when a link is clicked. You may contact us about tracking or personal-information requests using clause 7.
5. Managing cookies and consent
5.1 You may use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, receive alerts or restrict third-party cookies, depending on the browser. Consult the browser’s help menu or your device instructions. Settings may need to be changed separately on each browser or device. Deleting cookies may remove saved preferences or sign you out.
5.2 Restricting cookies may affect the features that depend on them. Restricting advertising cookies does not necessarily stop advertisements. Browser controls may not prevent every form of tracking or delete information already received by FG or a provider.
5.3 Where applicable law requires consent, FG will obtain it before the relevant collection or processing. Merely visiting the Site, continuing to browse or reading this policy does not replace legally required consent. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us under clause 7 or using any relevant choice facility provided on the Site. We will give effect to withdrawal as required by applicable law; withdrawal does not invalidate earlier processing that was lawful.
5.4 Where the law requires an affirmative choice or a particular means of withdrawal, browser settings alone do not replace that requirement. Refusal or withdrawal may affect a service that genuinely requires the information, but will not be treated as agreement to unrelated processing.
6. Providers and personal information
6.1 Providers of Site functions, social media features, analytics and advertising may place or access cookies or receive associated information. Their own privacy or cookie notices may also explain their processing. Those notices do not displace FG’s obligations for its own processing or providers acting on its behalf.
6.2 Retention of information already collected, any processing outside India and handling of children’s personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Expiry or deletion of a cookie does not necessarily erase information already held. This policy does not authorise processing that is prohibited by applicable law.
7. Contact and changes
7.1 For questions, requests, withdrawal of consent or complaints, email care@faridagupta.com. You may also contact the Grievance Officer identified in our Privacy Policy. Requests and grievances will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
7.2 We may update this policy to reflect changes in practices, technologies or law and will revise the date above. Further notice and fresh consent will be provided or obtained where required by law. Posting an updated policy or continued use of the Site does not, by itself, supply any such consent.
8. Cookie details
8.1 The tables below list the cookies used on the Site at the date of the last review, grouped by the categories in clause 3. "Party" shows whether a cookie is set on the Site's own domain (first-party) or on a provider's domain (third-party). As explained in clause 3.5, a first-party cookie may still be set by, and send information to, an external provider. Providers may change their cookies from time to time, so durations are maximums and may be shorter depending on your browser. Cookies in clauses 8.3 to 8.5 are used only with your consent where applicable law requires it.

8.6 Browser storage
In addition to cookies, the Site stores similar information in your browser's local storage, including for shopping-bag and recently viewed products (Shopify), checkout (Razorpay), wishlists (Smart Wishlist), our loyalty programme (Nector), marketing messages and notifications (CleverTap) and advertising measurement (Google). You can clear this by deleting site data in your browser settings (see clause 5).
