Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end sample development process, coordinating with designers, in-house teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely development, correction, documentation, and handover of samples to the Production Merchandising team.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate new sample development with the in-house team and external vendors.

Plan and coordinate sample readiness for photoshoots.

Liaise with the Branding team for photoshoot requirements and arrange the required samples within timelines.

Maintain accurate and updated records of all samples developed.

Coordinate and follow up on sample corrections based on designers’ comments and feedback.

Maintain records of sample-related fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials.

Ensure proper tracking and availability of sample components throughout the development process.

Update accurate and complete information on the Manufacturing Panel.

Prepare and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) for samples.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely execution and closure of sampling activities.

Follow up proactively on pending actions, approvals, corrections, and sample deliveries.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other computer applications.

Experience working on ERP systems or manufacturing/sampling management platforms.

Good understanding of ethnic wear and the Indian apparel market.

Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, accessories, and garment construction.

Understanding of costing and basic merchandising calculations.

Proficiency in Excel charts, formulas, and data management.

Good vendor-handling and coordination skills.

Knowledge of fabric sourcing is preferred

Strong execution, follow-up, and time-management abilities.

Ability to manage multiple samples and priorities simultaneously.

Qualification and Experience

Graduate with a Diploma in Fashion or a related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in sampling or merchandising.
-
Experience in ethnic wear, fashion retail, apparel manufacturing, or export houses will be preferred.

The role requires strong coordination, attention to detail, timely execution, and the ability to manage multiple sampling activities simultaneously.
